Clam ID

A friend of mine just purchased this clam from a LFS today they told him it was a Crocea, it doesnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t look like it to me, but my friend says the owner is a real straight shooter, they also charged him $120 I think he got ripped what do you guys think.

Wow, how can the LFS get this one wrong!

Speaking of price. A local LFS is selling (what they call extra large Crocea) ~4" for $249CDN or about $190USD. It's the biggest clam I've seen in the Toronto area, and it's definately highway robbery. A more responable price here would be around $175CDN. Some of you guys in that States can get 'em really cheap!

Thank's guys, thatââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s what I thought, my friend is so ****ed right now, he says heââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s going to try and take it back, I think I will just offer him $40 bucks for it and see what happens.

Well it's about 5 inches from end to end, it seems to be trying to find a good spot in the tank, cause it's moving all over the place. When I checked on it this afternoon it was fully extended, I think its just trying to get acclimated to the MH lights, in the LFS it was kept under PC, I guess about 110watts. john76 it seems to react very quickly to shadows and the fish that pass by what else should I look for to gauge health, on a newly purchased clam.
