Clam Placement

Thanks for your time.

New 2" maxima. Tanks is 24 inches deep. 2 x 250 watt 14k halides, 10 inches of water surface.

Where should I place the clam? Its currently on the sand bed.

i would place it at least half way up with the 14k

Placing the clam on the sand bed is fine.

I the nature only very big clam are on the sand, but most of the smaller clams are on the rocks very close to the water surface.

So , you can put the clam also on the rocks only 10 cm bellow the water surface, but be careful that the change of the light intensity will not be to high in the short period of time.

Clam will have better color , if it will have more intensive light (more lux).
