clam problem

Bought a crocea about three weeks ago and it was doing great. Looked great last night and hadn't noticed anything wrong at all - no color loss, the extension was good and normal. I even had a friend over that is also in the hobby last night and the first thing he said was that it looked beautiful. I came home today and it was gone. The inside had completely turned to jelly - all that was left was the shell with the milky white stuff in the inside. Everything else in my tank looks great and just as normal as it has always been. Does anyone have any idea of what happened? I am not a clam expert so I am just looking for somewhere to start on why this happened.

Thanks

in the rock structure, or on the sand bed? If on the sand bed, I had the same issue. Something came up and bore through the bottom of the clam from what I can tell.

U need to look up pyramid snails and welks there are also shell boaring snails check and see if any of them are whats are killing your clams. When u get a clam look them over really good make sure nothing is on them. I won't know unless u post a picture.
