clam proximity

Haha, that cracked me up since about 50% of the people I've met off RC are of Asian decent! :D :D (closest Asian smiley).

Your tank is superb, and I'm only thru the first page. I'm doing something similar, a separate tank with just clams. Nitrate eaters, and beautiful. It's going to be a very expensive refugium. Somebody who already posted here got me started with six beauties!

BTW, I'm 1/2 Asian so I say post away!!!

I think the coolest thing about these open top clam set-ups is that they look totally different top down. When I look top down in my tank, sometimes I feel like I'm looking at a different set of clams. Why is that? All my LPS & SPS look the same!

This thread has gotten me totally stoked to set this up.

i thought i was clam nuts i now have 13 in my 180 just hooked up my new lights this weekend 3 400w 20,000k xms and 2 160w
vho actenics also 1 160w 10,000k vho what a big difference...love those clams....i still am looking for a blue or teal teardrop hard to find.thanks for sharing you awsome tanks....i will post pics soon...

RC's new policy on picture posting has destroyed all of the pics which were in this thread :-((((((((

I was trying to review the methods which people had used to link an exterior clam tank to a display tank. Is there anyway people who posted those diagrams might be willing to re-post them?

And, if you are annoyed at this decision of RC, let the mods know how you feel - maybe they can change back.
