Clam Question

Hey Everyone,

My clam had a visitor last night by a crab taking a short cut and decided to walk on top of it's mantel, and hence the crab tore a small hole in the mantle. However, the clam still reacts to light and seems pretty normal, but right now I'm wondering if the clam is capable of repairing itself? or is it clam chowder?

generally they will repair themselves within a few weeks
