clam question

How long does it take for the clam to root itself.If it does not will that affect its health or growth.I would like to know,since my other clam died and I have no clue as to why it happened.

IME they can get a few threads down overnight...after a few days it's not going anywhere unless it wants to or you put some work into it () : )

If it's attached then it's not moving..if it's not moving then it's stabile...and stability is good...but if you just put them in the sand not attached to anything then they will still grow just fine...so attachment to a rock isn't a prereq for growth.
