Clams and Anemones

Hi friends. :)
Are anemones harmful to clams?
My RBTA is traveling (of course....) closer to my crocea clam. The tentacles now brush part of the mantle. The mantle retracts when the tentacles are brushing it, but then later extends again and looks totally fine.
Any words of wisdom?

I cant imagine that that type of contact would be good for the clam. I think anemones sting everything they touch.

it wont hurt the clam by the stings itself. it will affect how well it is doing though. if it stings it repeatedly it may just close up for good.

Back when I had my clams there was 1 week where one of my smaller GBTA made the clam's shell his home. The clam never seemed bothered by it. It was a larger ~5-6" Dersa.

The consensus seems to agree with you Kat :)
Better safe than sorry. Luckily this nem is on a free rock so I can rotate it!
