I know that this is the wrong thing to do but was wondering if it can be done on a temporary basis?

I want to place a peppermint shrimp or two into my tank to rid it of aiptaisa (sp?) I have a 4 inch derasa clam in the tank. Do you think it would be safe to leave the shrimp in there just till the anenomes are eaten?

I had no problems with peppermint shrimp hassling my Crocea.

Lived together for 6+ months, no problems in my case.

Seems pretty hit or miss, but that's my experience with one shrimp, one clam.

I put a pep shrimp in my tank to eat some aiptasia and he's been in there for about 3 weeks. Ate all the aiptasia and my clams are fine. I'm still a bit worried but he has been ok so far.

I have had peppermints in with crocea, hippopus, squamosa, gigas, derasa, maximas and never had a single problem.

If the clam is healthy, they ignored the clam. If it is stressed or dying I think they show up for the free meal!

just my 2 cents.
