Clams for sale at LFS

All,
Exotic has a bunch of 3-4" blue Tridacna Crocea clams for sale at $30/ea. Paul and I picked up a couple fine specimens already, just thought I pass on the tip because I thought it was a great deal.

do you need to dose your water with anything to have clams? I was thinking of one but I don't want to have to buy all this additive stuff for it.

small ones need phyto...some dunk em in a little bath

they all need intense lighting....anenome, clams, SPS all require the same quality light.....for LONG TERM survival.

Due to thier shell growth they deplete you CA and ALK like gangbusters....so if you don't dose those now, you may need to then.....

The blue one that is shown in my recent pics I have had over a year, was my first. Pretty easy to keep if you have the right lighting IMO

One thing to be careful for is OD on Iodine. Apparently they do not take too well to this.
