Hey guys, new to the hobby. Wanted some of your advice on some clowns. Just finished cycling my saltwater aquarium of 65 gallons. Picked up 2 new clownfish at a local on the recommendation of a store employee. He assured me that the 2 clownfish that I purchased were of the species Clarkii.
However, when I got home and took a closer look at the fish I noticed some key differences. One of the clown has a white stripe ring on his tail running vertically where the the tail meets the body exactly like the live aquaria picture. The sebae looks exactly the same as live aquaria picture. I'm pretty sure these 2 are not of the same clownfish species.
The sebae is about 4 inches and the Clarkii is about 1.5 inches.
Is it possible for these 2 fish to co-exist and possibly bond in the future? Or should I return one of these guys back to the LFS.
