Can I keep a pair of small clarkii in a 10g or will have to upgrade them later to another tank they used to belong to a firend of mine and he sold them to me because they killed his school of 8 chromis and they were in with a ocellaris and Percula in a 40b but they never bothered them, anyways back to the question keep them in there or upgrade

Another question I want to ask is that they started to be a mated pair as they didn't that funny dance and they dug up a nest in my sand bed but the one who is larger and thus female likes to take back food to the nest and hides is this normal its a 10 fowlr

If they are indeed a small pair then I doubt they have actually paired up yet. I have a very small pair in my 65 gallon and they are still working it out. The female can be vicious. In a 10 gallon the male would have no where to hide or get away from her.

A mated pair would be near adult size. Then they would for sure be too large for a 10 gallon.

But it sounds like you already have them in a 10 gallon.

As for the behavior, mine don't dig because they have their anemones but they do feed the anemones. Perfectly normal for clarkiis. Upgrade and keep them, they are great fish.

Well i wasn't really planning to have clarkii and they really just stopped doing that wierd dance where one fliped sideways and shaked shortly they destroyed my sandbed now it looks like a war zone well im going to set up a 29 gallon for them
