Can you guys please post some pics? I was all about getting some picassos or percuals but I keep going back to these and know I will regret not getting them.
+1 yeah listen to Jordan he knows this species well. I still am amazed at the color change. Here are a few of my yellow tail pair. Not sure where they were collected from but they never lost their color.
Yeah, the are a great species and the colors are great.
Soo. I am a complete noob with all of this. If you are having issues keeping it alive more than 3 days. I am sure it will croak once it looks at my tank through the bag lol
clarkii are easy, many claim they are a little aggresive too. I have an A. Allardi that looks almost just like a blue stripe. they don't have the high risk of brook(disease that kills blue stripes rapidly), they don't loose color, and my 4 inch female is the least aggresive clown i have encountered. even put up with a tomato clown for a good period of time.
if you can grab an allardi i think they're the best of both worlds
clarkiis have such great variability with colors and striping and are very readily available. this would be a great choice.
allardis are also great, and seem to be much more common lately. i would agree they tend to ship and arrive in stores in much better condition. and as mike stated, they are the best of both worlds....a bit less prone to dying and great colors.
