Thought i would share this little clip i took last night at feeding time.. I am sure a lot of you have seen such a thing before, however, my wife and I could not help but laugh, smile, and then feel bad for "Little Clark" and his Carpet.

The Big clarkii is very very loving of her bleached RBTA.. I have to keep her away from the carpet during feeding time because she steals every drop of food to give to the RBTA..

This made my day, thanks.
I had always read that clowns didn't "feed" their nem, that they were just sloppy eaters. (and I have no real research to back that as I didn't bother, just that I've read it a few times) I think this changes my perspective on that! :)

Thanks!

We have yet to name the big clarkii so i refer to her as big clarkii haha.. But she without a doubt will feed her Nem..

We now have to "protect" the carpet when we try and feed him otherwise the RBTA ends up with multiple silversides haha.

Welcome. All my fishes have names...
Desi for my Desjardin daily fin, Bubbles my yellow tang, Grey for my naso tang, Mr. & Mrs. Nemo for my clownfish, Carrot-Top for my blenny because he has a patch of red hair on top of his head, Newb for my wrasse the only ones I did not give names to are my Bangii Cardinal fish

I wish my clowns would feed there rbta's more often. Every once and a while I see my female grab a piece of rods food and puts it in her nem.

It is a really awesome sight.. I wasn't sure about the clarkii's but each day they grow on me.. especially after seeing their personality's. I just really want some tomato clowns..

I think the clarkiis would pick on them yes?

For those who care.. Here is another video from feeding tonight.. i dropped some krill in for the shrimp and it happened to get hijacked.

Thats funnny,my clarki clowns will feed there nem,but the perculas in my other tank never have fed, only stole the food that i gave the nem.

The clarkii I had many many years ago used to feed her LTA. When I had my RBTA, my percula never fed it. I guess it's a clarkii thing.

Clarkii's & their RBTA/Carpet feeding time.

for a name I'd go with Calamity Jane... unless you are willing to rename little clark to clyde... :)

I love that name Calamity Jane... That was also a cute movie as well back in the day... Tough gal that Calamity Jane was... LOL

Nice Vid. Just a quick note, people have reported issues with feeding silversides to their Nems, me included. I won't ever feed them again.

What issues are people having feeding their nem's silversides?
I feed mine all the time with silversides and have had no problems.

Silversides spoil very easily. There are no controls over the quality and handling of them like seafood for human consumption. You can feed seafood from the grocery store, just make sure there are no preservatives added. I feed mine scallops and salmon.
