Classroom Tank.

I'm sure you've all been wondering what happened to me! It's been a little while since I posted here.

The fish tank at The Avalon Academy (my son's school) has been up for about 3 months now. It is looking great and the kids all love it.

I want to thank all of the members here at Reef Central and especially those members of BAR who so generously donated pumps, live rock and sand, a sump and so much more to the effort.

I am working with a lighting vendor on getting better lighting on the tank. I'll post more pictures and more info about the vendor once the lights are up and running.

We are still looking for someone to donate a skimmer and someone to sponsor our fish food.

Special thanks to Tyler at Dolphin Pet Village who has donated all of the livestock, fish, clean-up crew etc.

We currently have a yellow wrasse, 6 chromis and a hippo tang. In the next couple months we want to add a yellow tang and an anemone/clownfish group.

Lets me know when you are ready for the anemone. I can give you one of my RBTA .. If you want some softy now, I have some too .... Very nice setup so far ..

Do you have enough flow in there?? I see only one PH in there.. BTW... That thing likes to kill fish ..

Wish I had known. I just gave away a EuroReef and AquaC to charity. What size is the tank? I'd be happy to donate a CPR BakPak.

Ugly, all I have for flow right now are those AC 802s. I had a Seio that was going to come out of my home tank and go in there but my other Seio melted down so I no longer had a spare.

Thanks for the offer Elite, I have a small colony of GBTAs perhaps one RBTA and one GBTA might make a good start once I get the lighting straightened out. Softies would be nice, I'll PM you. I am planning on putting Mh only on the right side of the tank so that there is one side brightly lit and one side a little less brightly lit. Kids with CVI (cortical visual impairments) often have issues with certain light levels.

Unarce, it is a 100gal tank. It might be a little much for a BakPak but anything is better than the zero skimming I am doing now. I've been trying to not post too many beg threads, I guess I should have put one more out there!

There's a huge difference between asking for freebies and opening up a new world to a child.

Just say the word, and the skimmer's theirs.

I'm going to try and upgrade to tunze streams around the dec/jan. If all goes well and you don't have PH yet, I can donate 2 820 seio's. The tank looks great
