As i were afraid the stand couldn´t hold the tank as well as i´d like to, i´m changing it today. (it seems too "skinny")...

I'm a little confused about your stands, I see you have one metal one that the tank is already on and then the wood one posted above with some sort of metal supports? Both these stands look a little underbuilt to me to support this large of a tank. Perhaps I'm wrong though, I know most tend to overbuild on their stands.

Hi James, i also thought the metal stand to be underbuilt, so i´ve made another one of solid wood with metal reinforcements. I´ve calculated it to hold 150% more than the tank. Think it will be allright. :mtool:

Hi Joao, those are really great reefs, with a lot of good ideas, but i don´t have that much romm, because i live in an apartment. though i may sure use some of the rockscaping ideas :fish2:

Looks good so far, I just hope you're right about the stand holding the weight of the tank. I'm one of those guys that tends to overbuild. Good luck on your project.

Sorry, Claudio, but I would have to agree with others that the wooden stand seems underbuilt. There is no cross-bracing, no lateral support. The slightest tilt and I suspect it would come apart under the weight of an aquarium.
