Clayton Pet Emporium still open

Hey guys and gals,
I was at CPE on Saturday after having lunch with my wife and father in law at Manhattan Cafe. Jan says they will be open for awhile longer yet.

She also had a gorgeous and healthy pink tipped Elegence coral for sale. If I had the room, I would have bought it myself. Its big, and she doesnt know where it was collected from, (which probably means not Australian), so to whoever buys it, do yourself a favor and put it under low light intially and see how it adapts.

I heard just the opposite from her on Thursday?? I was also told that they would be getting in their final shipment of coral this week? Maybe something changed in the two days?? I hope so because it is a great store.

Wow..what did I miss? I haven't been to the store much because of Hanley Rd being closed over 40. Is it closing or preparing to?

its preparing too...but she just sent out an email stating she just got a shipment of corals and fish....
Go check them out...
You can still get there by taking Brentwood Boulevard to Clayton road, right on Clayton, left on Hanley.

I keep hoping one of you guys is gonna win the lottery and buy the place so I can keep going there.

Got another email from her stating it was still open til at least Mar 6th. Jan got another shipment of corals and fish in.

I talked to her Thursday. She said that business has really dropped off due to the highway closing and the recession.

She also told me that she had a buyer, but he basically just disappeared. The store is for sale for $75,000, not counting the current stock which is really low. She is going to stay open until the end of the month and if not sold, she will part everything out.
