Clean coralline algae off acrylic

I plan someday to get a large (300+ gal) acrylic aquarium. The only downside I see to acrylic is that it scratches easier than glass. Does anyone with an acrylic tank have any experience with this device that suppose to take (actually kill) coralline algae off the sides of the tank? Does it work as advertised?

I kinda wonder also. The website is a little shady.

It really does seem like the only downside to acrylic is the scratching. Does anyone know how easily it scratches? I read on RC that even a small piece of sand will scratch the acrylic if you mess up with the magnet...

yea, that website and product does seem shady. they have videos, but there edited and cant see the product actually work. you just see it removed.

ya a fine grain of sand or even coraline will scracth acyrlic.. careful is the key..
