Clean-Up Crew Group Buy

I would be surprised to see that they are shipped wet.. thats a lot of extra weight that isnt needed.
Like Stix mentioned, a float to temp, and cut and drop.

Stuff's here. Come on over!

I printed out acclimation instructions from the web site, and I have a copy for everybody. Looks pretty standard. Float to temp, Add water slowly, double the volume, dump some out, add more water, etc.

Alan,

Thanks again for leading the effort for this group order. :)

I thought it might be helpful for each of us to post outcomes (easy for me since I ordered small quantities):

Ordered: 24 nassarius, 18 astrea, 12 cerith
Received: 27 nassarius, 18 astrea, 12 cerith

No empty shells and so far no casualties. The nassarius and astreas are already getting to work, but the ceriths are a bit sluggish. Hopefully they'll pick it up! :D

Chris

Mine also look really good. It was awesome to see Alan's system in the early stages too...real nice setup. I will be sure to bring you a nice frag to the meeting as a thanks for spearheading this group buy!!!

I have several ceriths that dont look good... like 4...

One of my queen conch's is DOA.

My dry packed astrea's are comming around, but may have some casualties.

Nerites, Nassarius, Emeralds, Mini-bluelegs all up and around.

50% of the astrea's are on the glass and cruising. The balance look a little sluggish on the sand.

98% of the ceriths are just laying there. Only one or two on the glass.

Queen Conchs showing signs of life, but relatively sedate. Krikor, hang in there. Yours might come around in a day or so.

Last pickup was half an hour ago.

I'm exhausted... :hmm3:

I just finished the suggested acclimation period and intro-ed to the system aboutta hour ago. There's alittle action already.

well my few creiths are still where i put them but all other critters are busy exploring. now if the nerite's can just postpone that hardwood floor expedition they were training for in the acclimation container.
thanks again alan

btw, i have an encrusting porites which has a few small projections that i can break off for your foam/shell background if you want 'em. looks just like mike palettas purple porites only it's more a brown-burgandy/small white polyps ( www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2448 ). i'll be in the city sunday but if kirkor and you are going to the meeting i can drop it off at kirkor's house.
now that i think about it pavona maldivensis ( www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2544 ), would be cool growing there too but i'm sure you have your own ideas... hint hint think deep water acros. your set-up has lots of potential, good luck with it.

My stock looks pretty good. I dripped acclimated them while floating instead. My queen conch was alive but didn't look great this morning. I am hoping it comes around. For all the others, I may have 1-2 dead turbos, I think all my ceriths are alive. The nudibranch is doing great. I had 24 turbos, 12 ceriths, 1 conch and 1 nudibranch. Some snails are on the same places on the rocks but I know they are alive because they were suctioned on there. I think most of them will make it. Thanks again Alan!

All of mine are doing great - astreas, nassarius, emerald crabs, cucumber - except...the ceriths also. None of them seem to be moving. I'm going home over lunch to check and hopefully they'll be moving around.

Thanks Alan!

Ceriths still havent moved, two conch's not moving, one being dinner for hermits...

about 20-30 astrea still havent moved, the rest are doing famously.
