Clean Up Crew Question??? Need Advice

So, I have a 40 gallon with 6 Nassarius, 12 astreas, and 1 fighting conch. Do you think I should add more Nassarius? How about Ceriths? I had a tigertail cuke but he got caught on a powerhead - don't want to go there again. What are your thoughts?

my tiger tail cuke loves the powerhead... i think he's suicidal.... 3 times in the past 5 months, even with screens!!! it's like playduh

i would get more nassaruis snails... like 20... personal opinon...

Yeah, mine like the powerheads too. So much he met his demise. Well, he was so mangled I had to put him down. He did do an awesome job with cleanup though. Thanks for the advice on the Nassarius. Any thoughts on adding Ceriths?

Ceriths, margaritas, smaller turbos. Stay away from large fleshy inverts: they're dangerous to a tank even if they aren't the poisonous kind---just from sheer mass if they check out.

I have crushed coral and sand bed. Of course, most of sand has sifted down. Would nasarius fare well in this substrate, or do they need pure sand?
