OK i have my old 55 gallon tank in a rubbermaid container right now as my 300 total system is filling... Im planning on having live rock next day aired to me tomorrow and the tank will be full by then..

A. Can i add a clean up crew immediatly to the tank if the rock is uncured? Im not sure if i am ordering uncured or cured stuff yet.

B. If i get the clean up crew today to put in the tank tomorrow, would they be ok over night in the bag i bring them home with the bag placed in the rubbermaid container the current tank inhabitants are in?

Uncured rock usually results in an ammonia spike, which will also result in a nitrate spike, which will not be good for your clean up crew. Even if you get "cured" live rock shipped to you, its possible that you'll see a spike anyways because the rock will experiance some die off in shipping. I would get your rock and let it be for awhile and make sure your specs are at 0 before adding any live creatures.

If it's drop shipping to you, it's still going to cure some in your tank, even if they cured it wherever you are getting it from. I personally would not add snails or hermits or whatever else you plan to add until a few weeks later. That's what I did.

I would wait also. There's really no hurry to get them in.

Though you'll be tempted when algae starts to bloom during the cycle. Ride it out...it'll go away on it's own...
