Cleaner ship acting da fool

So EVERYTIME I feed the tank my cleaner ship will flip upside down and try to grab all the flakes. Almost like running right below the water. I feed pellets for the shrimp and crab, but formula2 for the clowns. Does anyone else's shrimp to this. It's the craziest thing.

Mine does the same. Greedy bastard always wants more. Also steals everything from my hammers and frogspawn. When I upgrade to my new tank build he might not be on the transfer list. Back to the lfs. Maybe. He is entertaining.

I thought it was just me. I had one years ago but do not remember him acting like this. I'm sure his tank mates are like " I hope daddy isn't bringing him to the new tank" what to do what to do.

I have to feed the tank, then hand feed the corals. Have to fight them off until the corals have time to ingest the food.
They will also scamper up the overflow and pick food from the teeth.

I enjoy them, they spawn constantly (free food), but once gone they will not be replaced.

They are a pain in the behind. As interesting as they are, there are days I question why I put them in. I have to stand guard of the sun polyps and LPS that eat more meaty fare which is annoying... kids find it hilarious and often commentate it. I have seen them do some pretty crazy things trying to get across the tank to steal something else's food.

I loved the cleaner shrimp I had back in the day. Would always do something crazy like that. Everyone loved the energy he brought to my tank. Now 8 years down the road I don't really want one. I have a thriving reef and the last thing I need is for a crazy cleaner shrimp robbing my lps corals of food. I do however have two sexy shrimp, and they are not so aggressive when it comes to feeding time.

I feed the tank with a turkey baster. The fish get a good squirt, then the diamond watchman gets his, then the cleaner gets his, and anything left over goes to the LPS. He gets his share so he does not bother anything else.

I wouldn't give him up, he cleans me when I put my hand in the tank, the only other interaction I get is my female clown biting me so that helps his case

I feed my shrimp and then everything else. He cares all over my nem trying to get food as well. Even steals from my acans

Not only do mine steal food from the fish but also from each other. I have one that hides his piece of krill then runs over and swipes the other shrimps krill.
