Shrimp are fairly motile critters, there's a pretty good chance they could crawl out. If your considering trying to raise the young in that it most likely wont work. The young have an extended planktonic stage and require almost continuous special food to survive. Any flow through that cage would easily pin them to the side and they will perish.

And the adults will eat the larvae.
You should set up a hatching container that separates larvae from adults. Rearing cleaner shrimp larvae is not an easy task.
If you are interested, start with a peppermint shrimp..much easier.
