Cleaner shrimp with a pistol

The cleaner shrimp been in the tank for 9 plus months. Just moved everyone into a 65 gal with the added room looking to maybe get a yellow watchman and pistol combo. Any idea if they will play nice?

I have all the above in 40 breeder... they all mind their business. Pistol will dig everything everywhere, hope your rock work is secure

I would say all the bottom pcs are. Shaved down the rock so it sits flat on the bottom. Then built up from there. Used 1 epoxy stick to bond a few pcs together and have a few stacked pcs towards the top. Do you buy them as a pair or just happen to buddy up?

Should be fine, pistols and cleaners don't tend to venture into the same areas and most pistols (especially the goby-pairing kind) don't have the oomph to kill a shrimp.

Mine happened to be paired at the LFS... like Betta said... they have different homes... not usually near each other

We have a paired Watchmen Goby and Pistol Shrimp (diff tanks at LFS and paired in our tank). 6months later we introduced a cleaner shrimp. No problems.

Only time theres a scuffle is when the goby gets sick of the cleaner shrimp...cleaning or the two shrimps see the same bit of food. Cleaner shrimp ALWAYS backs off thought.
