Introduce a rescued purple tang today- Tang is clean, been quarantined for over a month. But still... the cleaner wrasse would not leave him along with an ultra warm welcome
See my post for the story:

By the way the white dots you see in photo and video are sand floating around, not ich.

hope you have good luck with him. i do see a few problems but correct me if i'm wrong...the tang, mandy and goby all went into your dt, right? you say the tang was quarantined for almost a month. was this because of being harassed and injured or because of disease? a month is not long enough to determine if the fish is disease-free, even if it was medicated while still at the lfs.

and the goby and mandy...they came from the same lfs, right? neither of them has been in any sort of qt, correct?

IF there are any parasites on these fish, and hopefully that is not the case, the cleaner wrasse will be useless as far as "curing" anything like ich. cleaners only pick off what is available on the outside of a fish, they cannot get down under the skin/scales.

that's just my take. hope everything turns out well for your new pets!!

Just keep an eye out for some kind parasite like flukes. What he's doing is natural but if he starts scratching I would probably dose the dt with prazipro just to make sure. I just had flukes and you can't tell by looking that he has something on his skin but a day after prazi they all stopped scratching and going to the cleaners
