Cleaning a quarantine tank

I was wondering how you guys clean your quarantine tanks if they become contaminated. I lost a clownfish a while back in this tank (it was sick when I got it) and now I'm getting some more and will quarantine them in the same tank. I emptied it and rinsed it out with a bleach/water solution. I also cleaned the heater the same way. Will this kill everything? I know bleach just degrade to salt when it dries, so I figured it should be safe. What do you guys use to clean a quarantine tank?
Thanks,
Neal

IMO, as long as the tank and everything used in it is allowed to dry for 24 hours, it should be fine.

i always had heard not to use bleach, but i do not know the reason why. I would re rinse with RO water after you let it dry for a day to be safe.

i've cleaned out aquariums w/ bleach water. it's not a big deal (as far as i know) as long as you rinse it out well and let it dry completely. of course, i did this for my fresh. i did just clean out a 30 gallon with bleach water that i have some liverock cycling in...and i'm about to drop fish in there....so let me know if bleach really is bad for saltwater tanks.

here's how i went about cleaning the tank out:

1 - i rinsed my tank out with water first
2 - then i put some bleach in the tank and filled the tank up about half way with water and scrubbed it down with a sponge
3 - then i rinsed it out again with fresh water
4 - then i let it dry completely
5 - then i rinsed it one more time with fresh water
6 - then i let it dry

and each time i rinsed it, i BLASTED it with the water and scrubbed it with the sponge.

IF there is a reason not to use bleach water for saltwater aquariums, then please let me know! but i think with the amount of scrubbing, rinsing, drying, and re-rinsing...shouldn't have any issues.

yea i looked into it and talked to some people. Bleach turns into salt when it drys so if you use a small amount in some water. its all good.

Thanks everyone for all of the replies. My true percs are coming tomorrow! I'll post some pics when they get settled in.
