Cleaning QT Tank Bottom

What do you use to clean the bottom of your QT? Just a siphon and dump the excess water back in the QT?

I am trying a battery operated siphon tube that runs the water through a mesh bag, but it doesn't have much suction. They used to make similar tubes with a squeeze bulb for suction but I don't see them around any more.

Siphon the bottom during water changes weekly. Same as all of my tanks.

I use a Next reef Shorty put a Maxi Jet 900 on it fill it with baton you buy at the Craft store. Just stir up what you want and let the canister filter it out. I also use it on my DT, it is a handy little filter.
