clip or not to clip... That is the question.

Just wondering how many of you clip the tips of your frags/colonies to promote growth?
pics of the before and after growths if possible too.

Cutting to promote growth, no thats new to me. Good water, quality, lighting and stability promotes the best growth IMO.
 
ime less is more clipping all tips doesn't do it i just rub a couple of tips with my thumb or on a rock seems to "wake" up the slower ones

Shaved off the tips of and acro that has not done much in a while but was a fast grower. I will see how this works out.
 
i noticed when i got my first birdsnest i broke a few tips off. nothings more than a little grain of sand size and now they all grown greatly but slowed recently....i think ill do it again to test it again
 
I've noticed some induced growth in areas where i clipped some branches. I'd say it works. Some plants do the same thing, something called compensation.
