My Bubbletip anemone just cloned!
This is definitely a first for me and i can't say it was expected.. My 50gal tank is about six months old, with a 4-inch tailbar lionfish and a one-inch domino damsel the only fishes. I have kept it as low-maintenance as possible so i didn't expect this. My domino damsel has also been hosting in the anemone for a while, which has been very cool.
I've been giving the anemone silverside meat every now and again, lately when my lionfish has refused it. (By the way, does anybody know of any tricks to get them eating non-live foods?) All of a sudden, two anemones! =)
So what do i do now? just leave them to it? do some work to improve conditions? and will they clone again?
Feedback appreciated,
Oscar
