This is the best I can do right now. When I get home from work I will ask if it feels like another photoshoot.

Credits should be given to Gregory Ho( GHO on RC). ;)

Thank you!
I am chewing my way through the site. Its a complicated affair and I miss manual focus from the old days in school with photography classes :p

Good site, some good info so far!

no you didn't! very beautiful.

I am just recently discovering bokeh, and how it makes the photo look so much more interesting, then I realized, your photos have the most amazing BOKEH ever. 1. your composition is amazing, subjects are great, it's a good photo, then 2. your boken clearly enhances and complements the subject/composition so well, that the bokeh itself is as important as the subject!! if not more beautiful! I am truely amazed. I wish I could be there to watch your technique of how, or maybe you're just so good you know what and how to set your settings to get these shots.

The rough definition of bokeh is "the quality of the out of focus portion of the photo". With inexpensive lenses it's difficult to achieve a soft smooth out of focus background, but you can do the best you can by using the biggest available aperture [smallest fstop number, like f2.8] and setting up your shot so that the subject is close to the lens and the background is far away.

I am glad you guys like the photos! There was a bribery of 10 mysis to get those shots :) She's grown a bit since then, but I haven't taken any photos of the tank for ages!

That's a great explanation Greg...

Thanks Marc. The competition was fierce. I heard they had thousands of entries, so I was really stoked just to get an honorable mention.
