Hi i was given one of these but i don't think i'm getting enough water movement

I don't even know what kind it is but the pump has this model number E160713 Listed 8C99 ( little info on google says its a mag 12 1200 GPH

Anyway its on a 200 gallon tank with three outtake tubes (roughly 5' in length) and when i stick my hand in front of them i can feel it a little, but should it be really powerful

I have 2 pumps(a spare) and both are the same power

heres the thing i just realized that where the outake tube attaches to the pump the pump is cracked(both of them in the same spot) would this loose a lot of pressure

can i just silicone the crack or something

thanks

you might want to look into getting a bigger better pump. The mag's arent the best pump to have on a closed loop!! Look for an external pump like a dart

the diameter of the return pipe could also be affecting the performance of the pump, but like 30mini stated mag pumps are not well suited for closed loops.Infact, they are not recommended to be used externally in any application. They are great as in sump pumps.
