Closed Loop Q&A

Ok Im pretty well versed on most reef info, I know almost nothing about the closed loop. I have a 65 reef, with a Aquus Surge 6000 return, doing about 700 gph i think with the head. It is returned by 2 tubes out of the megaflow. I have another powerhead in the tank. There is a bunch of flow in the tank, because the return is strong. I that wavemakers ect. are great for varying water movement. The point of the closed look it to circulate water through the tank, and to eliminate dead spots where detritus builds up, circulate nutrients/ food ect. What are some suggestions for me to improve my closed loop, to make it a better enviorment for my fish and coral ect? Are there any cost effective ways to do this, would a couple seio powerheads do this, I have no clue when it comes to an effective closed loop. I can post pics of my setup if that will help.

Allot of people including myself do a closed loop for 2 reasons to get the water flow that is needed and to get the unsightly powerheads out of the tank, powerheads can also raise the temp of your tank if that is also an issue. A close loop is run by using an external pump pulling water out of the tank and putting it directly back in it at diferant locations. I hope this helps you some.
