Hum, an om squirt and closed loop is overkill for a 29g IMO. If you can swing it, I would do a sump as this will add a safety factor (added gallons) to your already small nano volume. Simplest way is to go sumpless and do powerheads inside the tank (like tunze nanostreams 6025, maybe a pair) and add a HOT (hang over tank) skimmer such as bermuda's rogue HOT or aquamedic's turboflotor 1000 sl multi. The latter can also be installed in/out of a sump. If you do decide to go with a sump, look at the small octopus line of in sump skimmers. Probably the 70w HQI lighting would work good for this size tank. Check out the nano forum and read through the links on 29 gal builds here on RC. And yes, read, read, read and ask lots of questions.
