cloudy tank, smoking clams

has anyone ever seen clams (smoke)? for lack of a better term i just got home to a clouded up tank and looking in i see my maximas sending outwhat looks to be smoke ? could this be some spawing orsomething else have not had any problems before this all is in check i have 6 maximas and have seem three do this since i got home anyone have any ideas?

From what little I know, it isn't a good sign. I believe they are spawning and it's a sign they are stressed for some reason. You may need to run some carbon and be ready to do some water changes.

Has there been any changes to the tank? Do you know what the water parameters are?

parameters are all good i think maybe what happened was i went out for the day and cent ac was off and house heated up along w/tank water went to 83 cranked ac and did 10 galwater change w/water at norm temp that would explain the stress i think this morning everyone seems to be better hopefully thanks for reply
