my tank has been up now for 2 months, and up until 2 days ago I was running an eheim canister with bio media and 2 Emporor 400s for filtration. 2 days ago I removed the media from the cnister as my trates climbed to 20ppm and now just use it for circulation, also I removed 1 of the Emporor 400s to make room for my overflow box to get water to my sump containing my ASM G-3 skimmer. Every since I got rid of all that bio-media my water has turned cloudy (similar to new tank syndrome inFW) and my skimmer's bubbles are not the least bit brown and not producing any skimate? What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? Also my PH at the start was 8.2 for the first month, then dropped to 8.0 still ok from what I read, but then this AM my PH is down to 7.8.
Water paramaters this AM:

Amonia 0 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Nitrate 20 ppm
SG 1.025
Calcium 420-425
Temp 81
Right now my 180 houses fish only with live rock, a shrimp, crab, feather duster, a few mushrooms, a small colony of polyps.
My return pump is an Eheim 1262 900gph, I still have one Emporor 400 running, Eheim canister empty (but i did get some carbon and a mesh bag to put in it today) and a couple power heads.
Help me out here please!
