Cloudy with a chance of.......babies???

"feed ur reef...feed it!"
like many of us, I like to check out my tank most nights after the lights go out...
last night I noticed the tank was extremely cloudy and immediately thought something was wrong...maybe something had died and fouled up the water...

then I noticed this:

<a href="http://s730.photobucket.com/user/cet98/media/BlastoSpwaning_0001_zps43bcc281.mp4.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i730.photobucket.com/albums/ww309/cet98/th_BlastoSpwaning_0001_zps43bcc281.jpg" border="0" alt=" video BlastoSpwaning_0001_zps43bcc281.mp4"></a>

thought it was pretty cool

Now, THAT is a coral I wouldn't mind all over my tank! I had a porcillapora spawn years ago, and it was all over! I hated it! But, a coral like yours, growing in the overflows, may not be so bad! Nice timing on your video. Very nice coral! :)

thanks Dave!
get that frag in the right spot and I'll be there soon too... :)
I wonder if there will actually be any babies from this visible on my rocks some day. I always thought reproduction was strictly done by polyp growths directly off the mother colony...

I'm not sure... But, if you have a rock full of a bunch of "dudes", ain't no babies happening all over the tank!

Frag has been moved. I just noticed on the back side of it, there are 3 babies!!! Like as in 1/4 size of a pencil eraser! :) Tanks!

:lmao:

that's awesome that you found more babies :spin1: pretty soon you'll have your own "spawning colony of dudes" too.....
