Clown Acting Different...

My clowns have been in my tank for about 2 weeks and recently my male false percula has taken to hiding out in the opposite side of the tank he typically does. His lower fins are clamped to his body but when he swims he extends them again. He still has an appetite but not as much as he usually does. The female now eats more than him (shes the picky one and shes eating A LOT more) and occasionally puts him in his place and they still are dancing. He stays near the bottom a lot (not resting on the bottom) in the daytime then at night he goes back to the usual sleep spot (with the female) in the upper left corner of my tank (opposite the side he now lingers at in the day time).

I just cant figure out if hes not feeling well! He has always had a lighter looking area on his tail since I originally got him and I'm not sure if this is the begining of velvet or not. It looks like he may just look like that though. Help!

could be that the male the small one obviously is way smaller than the female and is just stressed from her picking on him or your water conditions arent ideal. tank size lighting other livestock as well could be bothering him.

the two of them basically have a 29 to themselves. Theres only a Coral Banded shrimp in there with them and he keeps to himself. The male also is only about a head shorter than the female. I'm gonna do a water change today to see if that helps him out.

Finished the water change a couple minutes ago. Hes swimmin around in the Clowns' corner and looking like hes doing much better :D heres hoping, fingers crossed.
