Clown acting wired - possible dying?

To all that love clownfish.

My paired clown is doing something really strange. They have been in the tank for 2 week. Everything seems to be fine and they were eating okay too. The female one has been very active and swim all over the place.

About couple days ago, the male one start hiding. He does not even come out during the feed time. He is just staying in the same hiding place.

When I checked in the morning though, I still see him, therefore, I wasn't so worry about it.

Tonight when I saw him. He is out in an open area swiming low. Still do eat. Also on the side of the body, there seems to be scratches on it (one side across the body).

Also the female is hiding now. Didn't eat at all. When we put her into the tank we called her "active" since she was so active. Now she does not move anymore. Hiding under the rock and just right above the sand bed.

I don't know why it suddenly does this. I checked water couple days ago and it good. Purple pseudochromis is doing okay as well as mushroom, Pulsing xenia, Bubble Coral, and LTA are doing fine.

Any suggestions?

NO3 and PO3 are 0. I didn't check the reset.

I am going to perform 10% water change today and see if that helps.

Yes. male clown has stringy poop. What do this mean? By the way, male clown died this morning. I am very depress. This is 3rd clown died in my tank.:-(

Did you get them all from the same place if so go somewhere else.

If they had white string poop that might be a sign of an internal worm. I would also test your ph.

Yes I did got them from that same place. I will try different place.

The only thing is that this pair belongs to other people for 6 months before they sell back to the LFS. The reason that they gave it back to the LFS is that clown is eating one of the coral.

PH is something that I didn't test. I will go buy a kit to test that. (Don't flame me for not having PH test kit) I am new to the SW hobby and my wife is ready to kill me for all the $ that I spend.

It seems like you guys don't have that problem. sigh...
