Clown Compatibility

I have a 55 gallon 4 foot long tank.

I have two orange and white false percs. I also have a yellow tail damsel and am getting an ORA orchid dottyback on Monday.

Is it possible to add a pair of black and white false percs to this tank? I have had the clowns for about a month and they are large, 3 inches.

I read somewhere you can have more than one pair of the ORA ones in a tank together but am not sure if this is a good idea.

Any advice? tks

It could work, I mean it is possible. But you already know the Best answer is No. They are very likely to not get along. The only way that I would try it is if you have a "backup plan". Where are you going to put the new clowns when the existing ones try to beat the snot out of them? Good Luck!

A 55 is too small for 2 pairs. It won't work.

"I read somewhere you can have more than one pair of the ORA ones in a tank together"

I'm not sure what ORA would have to do with it... The clowns don't know where they come from..

Good point. I think they were trying to say tank bred clowns may be more passive than wild ones.

Try It , if they start fighting take them out.

Not always that easy.
Often people have short term success, think all is well, then one day come home to a mess/dead or scarred clowns.

That could be said about everything in life, wouldn't want a scarred clown.lol Things are always made so complicated.

"Try It , if they start fighting take them out."

That would work if you see them while they are fighting and one / more don't go carpet surfing when you aren't around.
