clown die because it can not pair?

I wonder if in time a clown will die because it can not pair with another? I use to have 4 ocellaris clowns. One died 5 or 6 months ago. Since that time two of the three have paired leaving the third out in the cold. The last couple of days the one "left in the cold" has been acting strange and tonight I noticed it siting on the sand. hmmm?

No it will not die because it is not paired.

I had a loner clown for 4 years, It choked on some angel food and died.
