clown fish eggs

after spending hours looking though all the great threads on rc i have decided to have a go at rearing my fry but have noticed other peoples eggs always seem orange were as mine are always more transparent any ideas guys ? thanks

I believe they are orange in the begining. they change color as the days pass at least that is what I have been able to judge from my.

What type of clowns are they? Can you post a pic of them.

i would but they hatched tonight caught 100 plus, they are Ocellaris just the eggs never look as orange as yours even when they are first laid

just looked at the fry alot of them appear to be on the bottom of the tank is this normal ? thanks

How big is the tank how much water is in it and how much light?.

hi the tank is about 25lts i have it about a third full, I have a 10w bulb above it
about half of them died last night wondered if it was something to do with the eggs being very transparent maybe the egg sack is underdeveloped ?
I have added lots of rots today and the rest of them are eating like pigs

Not doing so well today only about fifteen left.
Noticed a few of them against the side of the tank but I have it blacked out ?

they laid again yesterday have 6 left from the first batch that are now eating well on dry food and rots
Looking forward to having another try with the next lot wish me luck

I seem to be in the same boat as you. I have 6 left from my hatch last Thursday night, today for them is day 5. My female laid a really nice clutch of eggs last night and I am hoping that this next batch will be more sucessful for me. Good luck to you as well.

Thanks think the mistake I made last time was using half fresh water and half water from the display tank iam going to use just water from the display this time and worry about the water changes later
