i found my clown eating my shrimp this morning shrimp was dead. don't know if clown killed it or it died on its own.
will a clown attack a shrimp it was a large one?
checked my water levels ammonia at zero ph hasn't changed nitrite still zero and nitrate still 20 the alkalinity may have gone up.

the only thing new i have done was feed some rotifiers that i got online . do you think that raised my alkalinity? and would that kill a shrimp?

btw 2cnd smaller shrimp is doing fine.

What type of clownfish?

I remember reading in a book that small peppermints can fall prey to large and hungry fish.

ora tear drop clown , the shrimp was rather large which makes me lean toward natural death.

alkalinity is for corals has nothing to do with shrimps or fish. kh is the hardness of the water

Alkalinity is important for every tank and creature in it if you don't want your PH to crash and kill everything. Also, alkalinity/carbonate hardness are quite different from just hardness.
