I picked up this pair from a friend of mine. He said these were Asian Ocellaris.
The female is a cinnamon color. The male is also, but he has shades of orange also.
Has anyone seen these before? And can anyone give me any information on them?
Thanks.

just an ugly colored ocellaris. i hope he didnt try to get over on you buy implying that they are from asia and rare or hard to find or anything. thats why you got to call lfs owners out on their <edit> and dont let them take advantage of you. but he may color up and if not congrats on your strange but uniquely colored ocellaris. and about the care, same as any other ocellaris, the different locations they may be collected has little affect on how they should be cared for,

I can only count 10 spines on dorsal fin so that would me percs. Correct me if i'm wrong though. Bascically same care as occis.

There are rumors of "borneo" ocellaris, i.e. a "brown" ocellaris. Before I believe them, I'll need to have quite a few confirmations collector to keeper though :)

Your fish looks similar to the Asian tank-bred ocellaris clowns I've seen coming into the states. IME they will color-up nicely if well-cared for, although it can take a few weeks/months.

I've heard about the "Borneo" ocellaris as well, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen one :) We have a darker WC ocellaris female with a wider stripe and more brown colors that seems to partially fit the description of the darker Borneo fish. They are spawning now; it will be interesting to see what the juveniles look like:

I'm surprised "edit" doesn't get edit out. :p

My friend has a pair like that, and the colored up nicely in 3 months.

No worries, I am not a newbie here. LOL. I picked them up dirt cheap.
Also no worries on someone BS'ing me, or taking advantage of me either. I am a grown man, that has a functioning brain. (Well sometimes)
And please, if you reply to my future posts, please leave out the cursing. I have a young nephew that reads every one of my posts.
Thanks.

The censor might, but the RC Staff does not.

Please keep it family friendly.

Ouch! ;) Keep in-mind that the eye-ring trick doesn't work so well in flash pictures like the one above and doesn't hold true in all cases. Also, there is a certain advantage to being able to look at a fish in-person. I have a lot of respect for the opinion of the previous owners of this pair as well...
