Will netting my norm ocel I managed to damage one of his gills. It's more open them the other one and he swims at the top of the tank. Is it going to be okay or is there anything I should do to help repair it.

Probably not much you could do. If he still eats he will probably be fine.

He swim at the top and I can pick him up with my hands. But still swims. I'll try and feed him some garlic brine shrimp in the morning and hope he eats

Sorry to hear that man. I tend to use my hands a lot more when moving fish around. I've also had a similar experience with nets injuring fish.
