I bought an Iclarke Clown on Sunday. He was really full of life but today he is opening and closing his mouth rapidly and he has a Slime coating which is white in color over him. He is lying on an Malu Anemone but he does not look good. All my water tests are fine.

Please help.:(

To late he has died!!

I do not know what this was but it was really quick to kill him.
Here is a pic 1 hour before.

Thanks for that my friend. I have read that article and all the signs described match the fishes symptoms.

What a nasty piece of work!!:mad2:

All other fish seem to be fine but I will keep looking at them.

Brooklynella mostly affects clownfish (because of its high prevalence, I prophylactically treat all clownfish with formalin), but it can infect other fish as well. If you are catching that clownfish for a formalin bath, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to give all the fish a bath.

i heared that u cant put any fish in you tank after a diseas like that.....alot of people (online) is telling me to wait six weeks and my LFS personel is tellin me that my tank will be okay to put fish n it after two weeks.....which one should i fallow and also i called this expert from drfostnersmith.com he also said the same thing as my LFS......im really confuse which one should i follow

Brooklynella does not drop off of the fish to reproduce. It goes directly from fish to fish to spread. So, if you treat every fish, there is a very good chance your tank will be clean of this disease. Fallowing is more for other parasites such as ich and velvet.

so steven ur sayin that 2 weeks witout fish is just fine
Yes, in the case if Brooklynella, two weeks is probably fine. But, I would be sure to quarantine any new additions, which takes at least on month to complete anyhow.

Guess what the fish shop replaced the fish with another. Three days I had him and yes he died as well. All the other fish are fine, so was I just unlucky or is there something up with this type of fish?
I`m gutted I feel that I have done something wrong but all my tests are fine.
