Clown pairs compatability

I have 160 bowfront (6 foot long) and am wanting to put 2 different pairs of clownfish in there. The first pair that I would like to get is tank bred Ocellaris Clownfish and the second pair would be tank bred Black & White Ocellaris. I was going to get a purple LTA and rose BTA (hopefully) so each pair could have their own anemone.

Does anyone think that this will work? Anyone keeping different pairs of clowns in their tanks now? Is the tank big enough to keep 2 pairs of different types if they each have their own anemone?

Your tank is big enough to have 2 pairs. You have the right idea about each pair having its own anemone as well, but not sure if a BTA is a natural host for them. I would not try to mix both pairs of Ocellaris though. I would mix a pair of Ocellaris, and a pair of skunks. Just my 2 cents....

I personally wouldn't mix pairs of clowns. It might work in the short term, but IMO, once one of the pairs starts to spawn, all bets are off.

I can tell you that my pair of pink skunks became fairly aggressive once they started spawning, they now rule the tank.
