clown picking on snail

i caught my clown trying to flip over one of my bigger snails who was already on his back. it seemed to me that he was trying to pick at him and then he was spitting gravel. i don't know.......does anybody?

What type of clown? either way this sounds like normal behavior. The fish is getting the snail out of it's territory.

Is it a maroon clown those can be quit territorial..........

Pretty normal behaviour if it was cruising through his/her territory
