OK. i resently discovered my clown has these lil white spots on his body, and theres a tan bump on his tail fin. The first thing that i thought of was ich but after more reading i believe it could be Brooklynosis. im tying to post pictures of him to show you more. just wanted to no the best way of treating my fish. i would never treat him in my main tank. im setting up a small 10g hospital tank as we speak, with just a filter on it. also my bta hasnt been doing well. all my levels are right where they should be just concerned with the clowns health... can the clown have given this disease to any other fish in my tank? also my clown is very active eats great and doesnt how hard time breathing... thanks for the help... here is the link to my photos they should work.

The links to the pictures are not working. Will need to fix that for anyone on here to help diagnose. Would definitely try to treat while the fish is still acting healthy.

I was told by a reputable lfs that we can treat ich in the main tank using metronidazole mixed into their food with garlic. Metronidazole is an antibiotic. Any thoughts?

If you don't have one, I would set up a small qt and get ready to treat w/ copper if needed. You might be able to use other means to treat the symptoms in the display, but having a quarantine tank for situations like this and for holding new purchases prior to introduction to the display is just good practice.
