Clown Question

My clowns, when they swim next to each other, for lack of a better word, vibrate. The arch sideways and just pulsate for a sec or two. Any idea what that is about?

Thats just how they communicate to each other. :) You will probably see the smaller one (the male) doing it more often than the female if I understand correctly... especially if the female gets mad. And no, I'm not making that up to make fun... I'm being honest!

That is what I have learned as well. My passer angel and clown do it to each other all of the time. She is the dominant one, but the clown does not back down one bit. It is rather interesting to watch.

I know when i had a cichlid tank set up they use to do that all the time. When they got old enough to breed they did that as part of the mating process to attract the female. I have to clowns that do the same thing so maybe i am just hoping one day they will mate. :-)

ha ha ha what if my Passer Angel and my clown mated...that would be a HUGE clown angel. lol I am sure that is not as funny to everyone else, but I had a very funny mental image when i read undercontrolj's post.
