clown selecting a host.

I have a maroon clown that was being hosted in a bta before i purchased it.

not having a nem in my tank it has taken up residence in a colt coral.
I am planning on getting a bta/rbta soon and im wondering.

what are the chances the clown will leave the colt and go to the nem? I am hoping that some instincts kick in and it goes "Oh hey I remember you" and moves in.

From everything I've read on here there is no way to even tell what the odds are, other than 50/50. I've seen people post about their clowns hosting a BTA for years, BTA died, introduced new BTA exactly the same, never hosted again. Then there's cases of their clowns hosting different things for a couple months and switching, moving around the tank hosting anything from powerheads to holes in rocks.

No personal experience here but I have read the maroon clowns typically have a higher affinity for going to anemonies.
