someone correct me if im wrong.
clownfish are sexless when young. or they are all born males. and within this group a dominant male will develope. this top male will become a female over 2-4 weeks. and becomes the ruling female of the group. if the female dies, the next dominant male becomes female and takes her place. usualy in the open ocean the supressed males will leave and make their own pairs.
their social behavior is strange compaired to most any other animal but its not hard to understand.
i think i cleared this up. probly missed alot tho. im not a professional, just have a pair myself.
